Brain Bristle: Modules of Learning for Inclusion
About 1 in 68 children under 10 is diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Most start in mainstream schools, but fewer than 20% remain there after a few years. Students at ASD Levels 2 and 3 need daily, trained intervention — less than 1% get it. Our students via our Social Work fellowship have made real gains in reading, writing, math, school retention and social skills.
We're opening this training to a wider audience of educators this September.
Year 1 (Sept '26–June '27, Rs 18,000 / ~$188) is two 120-minute online modules a month, on the 2nd and 4th Saturday afternoons IST, with readings, assessments, recordings and a WhatsApp support group. Topics include destigmatising autism, intellectual disability vs autism, behaviour management, DSM-5-TR, curricular scaffolding, sensory triggers, school transitions, ethical ABA and differentiation.
Year 2 (Rs 10,000 / ~$100, optional) is advisory support for schools and non-profits — systems, paperwork, models of inclusion, and quarterly field visits. Open to school and NGO nominees, and to individuals with a background in psychology, ABA, counselling, special education or education. 50% discount for qualifying schools. Certification on completion of each year.
