Brain Bristle builds equitable education and inclusion for autism across Mumbai’s low income schools while building wide scale advocacy and awareness for our work. Here’s a glimpse into the work our Social Work Team does daily at their designated schools.

This film is shot at one of our schools of  intervention, Puroshottam High School where we work with students on the autism spectrum and other high learning needs.   

🎶 Meet Maitreya Matale, a 22-year-old singer, composer, and performer whose journey with music began before he could even speak. Diagnosed with autism at 1 year 8 months, Maitreya found his voice in song. From training at Shankar Mahadevan Academy to performing with YRF’s 6 Pack Band 2.0, music transformed him into a confident artist.  He has sung on KBC, SaReGaMaPa Li’l Champs, and many live shows. A student of NMIMS – School of Performing Arts and KM Mumbai, he learns Hindustani, Western vocals, and piano. Maitreya dreams of being a singer, performer, and composer—sharing his smile and soul through every song.
